Fans of team China will be hoping the women will be able to repeat the success of their male counterparts as they vie for Tuesday's gold medals in London.

Chen Ruolin and Wang Hao will look to emulate Monday's success of Cao Yuan and Zhang Yanquan and take home the gold in the women's synchronized 10m platform at 10 pm.

Chen, 19 from Jiangsu province, is the leading favorite for the event after taking the top spot at the 2008 Beijing Games, the World Championships in 2011, Asian Games in 2010 and the World Series in 2012.

Next, the focus will turn to gymnastics where China's male team won gold on Monday night.

Deng Linlin, He Kexin, Huang Qiushuang, Sui Lu and Yao Jinnan will compete in the China women's gymnastics team artistic final at the North Greenwich Arena at 11:30 pm.

Earlier in the day, Xu Lili, from Shandong province will compete against Brazil's Mariana Silva in a five minute whirlwind of combat in the first stages of the women's 63kg judo at the ExCel competition venue at 4:51 pm.

Then after midnight the action moves to the Aquatic Center where China will hope to continue their winning streak in the water.

Chen Yin and Wu Peng will compete in the men's 200m butterfly semifinal, hoping to stop Michael Phelps repeating his win at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and becoming the Olympic athlete to win the most medals since the modern Games began in 1896.

Ye Shiwen and Li Jiaxing will be hoping for gold in the women's 200m individual medley at Aquatics Center at 3:43 am. Ye, 16, from Zhejiang province, won the 200m individual medley at the World Championships in Shanghai in 2011 and the Asian Games in 2010.

China will also hope for a place in the medal final of the men's 4x200m freestyle relay.

Medals will also be awarded on Tuesday for equestrian, fencing, weightlifting, canoe slalom, and shooting.
