BEIJING -- The Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) of China is investigating Lu Enguang, a former ministerial-level official of the Ministry of Justice, on suspicions of offering bribes, it announced Friday.
The SPP said it has taken "coercive measures" against Lu, which may include summons by force, bail and detention, and further investigation is under way.
Lu used to be a member of the leading Party group and the head of the political department of the ministry.
He was previously expelled from the Communist Party of China (CPC) and dismissed from public office for faking personal documents, buying official positions and bribery.
