Hezhou joins hands with Taiwan to develop agriculture

The third Cross-Straits Youth Forum on Agriculture commenced in the city of Hezhou, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Dec 9, presenting a perfect platform to reinforce cross-Straits relations and cooperation.

Themed “Youth Across Straits Join Hands, Plow Agricultural Future”, more than 500 guests across the Straits, including agricultural specialists and entrepreneurs, and representatives from agricultural organizations, took part.

Hezhou Party Secretary Li Hongqing addressed the opening ceremony, saying the city has abundant agricultural resources and a favorable environment which helped local residents enjoy long lives. The city has also been striving to build itself into a base to supply and produce a vast array of agricultural products.

Li spoke highly of Taiwan’s advanced theories, technologies and management models in agricultural development and suggested that Hezhou learn from its rich experience by promoting mutual exchanges and cooperation.
