Condolences and aid pour in after deadly HK bus crash

Condolences, financial assistance and blood donations poured in on Sunday, a day after Hong Kong saw its second most-deadly traffic accident in history, which claimed 19 lives and injured 66 people.
The tragedy occurred Saturday when a double-decker bus carrying a full load of horse racing fans on a special route rolled over to its left side. The cause of the accident is under investigation and the government and the bus company, Kowloon Motor Bus, will launch separate accident inquiries.
Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, on Sunday said that affected families will be provided with immediate financial assistance, as the city received a total of HK$21 million in donations following the crash.
