Fishing village celebrates Lantern Festival with folk performance

The folk performance Kangtaige was performed in Ruoshan fishing village, Taizhou city of Zhejiang province, to celebrate the upcoming Lantern Festival, which falls on Friday.

Beautiful children will be dressed as characters from classic dramas, such as Mu Guiying Assuming Command and Meng Lijun, and sit in exquisitely disguised structures to be carried by strong fishermen. Gong and drum will accompany, creating a lively atmosphere. The folk custom is performed to pray for a prosperous and happy new year.
