Memorial for 10th anniversary of Wenchuan earthquake held
Wu and Hu were two of three boys from Yingxiu Middle School to participate in the memorial ceremony.
Zhang Xuezhuoma, a 12-year-old student in Yingxiu Primary School, was one of a dozen schoolmates in the memorial ceremony.
The Tibetan girl was playing with a boy and girl who were twins when she fell to the ground because of the jolting of the earthquake.
"Since the earthquake, there have been many drills each year to prevent casualties in the next quake," she said.
Carrier Lam was on a four-day visit to Sichuan which ended on Saturday, heading a nearly 300-person delegation from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government.
After the earthquake, Hong Kong provided HK$10 billion ($1.27 billion) for Sichuan's 190 reconstruction projects, which were completed in 2016.
