    Chinese aid hailed as nations reel

    Vucic said that the Chinese experts were satisfied with the measures adopted so far by the Serbian authorities and with the therapeutic protocols, and said that they will also help with regard to traditional Chinese medicine, where it proved effective.

    Vucic said that Serbia has received a significant number of ventilators from China as a donation, and purchased some more from China too, "because they couldn't be bought anywhere else".

    In Ecuador, a ceremony was held at the Chinese embassy on Monday in which it was announced that the Chinese government will donate epidemic relief materials to the Ecuador government. Otto Sonnenholzner, Ecuador's vice-president, attended the ceremony.

    Sonnenholzner said that China is the first country to provide supplies to Ecuador, which can be described as a timely assistance. Ecuador attaches great importance to learning from China's valuable experience with epidemics and hopes to curb the outbreak as soon as possible.

    In Asia, a team of Chinese medical experts arrived in Cambodia on Monday morning to help the country fight COVID-19. The team also carried medical supplies, including N95 face masks, surgical masks, disposable latex gloves and protective clothing.

    Cambodia is the first Southeast Asian country to have received a Chinese team of medical experts to join its fight against the virus.

    Chinese enterprises and private institutions are also actively providing support to other countries.

    On Monday, the Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Foundation announced plans to donate medical supplies to 24 Latin American countries to help in their battle against the spread of the virus.

    A total of 2 million masks, 400,000 test kits and 104 ventilators will be donated to 24 Latin American countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Cuba, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic and Peru.

    "We will ship long-distance, and we will hurry! WE ARE ONE!" said business leader Jack Ma, who announced the pledges through his Twitter account.
