The homestay industry in Sanya's Bohou village has been booming since 2017, with the annual per capita income of local residents who make a living through farming increasing from 8,000 yuan ($1,131) to 24,000 yuan annually. In coming years, officials plan to improve the facilities and infrastructure of the village to support the industry and attract more tourists.
