Lingang Special Area plan unveiled
The Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization has come out with the Lingang Special Area innovative industrial plan for the high-level development of the area in the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone. The plan aims to create a world-class, open and modern industrial system centered on developing cutting edge manufacturing industrial clusters, as well as modern services.
Cross-border e-trade blossoms in Tianjin
Cross-border e-commerce has been gaining ground in Tianjin, with the north Chinese port city handling more than 19 million foreign trade orders during the first eight months of this year, according to Tianjin's municipal commission of commerce. Imports accounted for 18.16 million of the orders, up 6.69 percent on a yearly basis, with the value of the goods reaching 2.97 billion yuan ($439.4 million), up by 3.45 percent on a yearly basis. Tianjin had 855,200 export orders during the period, with the total sales value reaching 26.57 million yuan, said the commission.
