Beijing will strictly block people posing infection risks from coming to the capital via any third location, according to Beijing's top epidemic prevention and control work group on Wednesday afternoon.
Close contacts of cases outside of Beijing should be quickly managed and quarantined after arriving in Beijing and those who have lived within 14 days in counties or cities where the medium and high-risk areas are located should follow strict home observation, according to the work group meeting.
Cross-provincial commuters are encouraged to work from home in order to reduce the personnel mobility, said the authority.
