Time to take off masks nears: Expert

When the World Health Organization announces the COVID-19 pandemic is no longer a pandemic but an endemic disease, people would no longer need to wear masks, according to a senior Chinese expert.

Gao Fu, a well-known national political advisor and former director of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, shared the view at a panel focused on the COVID-19 pandemic at the Boao Forum for Asia on Wednesday.
