Lululemon Athletica Inc, a global athletic apparel company, has launched its third annual "Wellbeing For All" -- a week-long program of immersive experiences and conversations on wellbeing across the country amid its store expansions and product innovations to continue stimulating the local market.

Regarding World Mental Health Day, Lululemon unveiled the Wellbeing Roll-out Gallery at the iconic West Bund in Shanghai in partnership with New York-based artist Jeremyville.

The artist created a 3-kilometer-long outdoor art walk at the Xuhui riverside in the city. The exhibition displays a series of large-scale art installations under the theme of "wellbeing" and more than 30 community activities, inviting nearly 5,000 people.

Of them, six events were livestreamed, attracting nearly 30 million viewers to share how to have healthy physical, mental and social practices.

"At Lululemon, we believe that everyone has the right to be well, and we are committed to advocating for and advancing a greater possibility of wellbeing for all," said San Yan Ng, senior vice president, Lululemon China.

The campaign will continue in five major cities including Beijing, Nanjing of Jiangsu province, Chengdu of Sichuan province, Xiamen of Fujian province and Qingdao of Shandong province.

The company has continued to penetrate into the market through retail expansions in China, its third largest market globally.

Lululemon's market value has exceeded Adidas on Monday to $52.4 billion as the world's second largest sportswear brand only after Nike. Its revenue in three months by July this year has climbed 18 percent to $2.2 billion and gross profit surged 23 percent to $1.3 billion.

In its second quarter fiscal report, revenue in China has jumped 61 percent to $277 million, doubling the 30 percent growth rate of the same period of last year, boosted mainly by store expansion and rising demands from consumers, said the company.

In the first half year of 2023, of the 17 new stores Lululemon opened globally, nine are located in China, including its flagship store at Jing An Kerry Centre in Shanghai, which is the company's largest outlet in the Asia-Pacific region.
