On Nov 18, staff members from the State Grid Jinchang Power Supply Company visited Longjing village in Ningyuanbao town, Jinchuan district, Jinchang city, Gansu province. They entered the homes of local farmers to provide technical assistance and support for the safe operation of their equipment.

With the continuous advancement of the "dual carbon" strategy, the electrification of terminal energy consumption has gradually become a consensus among all sectors of society. Electric energy substitution refers to the use of electric energy to replace bulk coal and fuel oil at the end of the energy consumption link, such as electric heating, ground source heat pumps, industrial electric boilers (kilns), agricultural electric drainage and irrigation, electric vehicles, shore power used by port ships, airport electric bridge equipment, electric energy storage for peak shaving, etc.

Currently, Longjing village in Ningyuanbao town, Jinchuan district, Jinchang city, Gansu province, offers air source electric heating, solar electric heating and photovoltaic electric heating. Among these, solar electric heating has been installed in 1,391 households, while the rest are still in the process of installation. Specifically, air source electric heating has been installed in 288 households, solar electric heating in 1,101 households and photovoltaic electric heating in two households.

To meet the power demand for clean heating during winter, the State Grid Jinchang Power Supply Company has planned ahead to intensify efforts in the construction and renovation of the power grid. In areas with concentrated electric heating loads, the company has implemented a power distribution network upgrading project to enhance the power supply capacity and reliability, ensuring a stable electricity supply.

Furthermore, patrol inspections of power facilities in heating areas within the jurisdiction were strengthened, with 24-hour real-time monitoring of equipment operation status through the power information acquisition system.

This has enabled timely detection and resolution of potential safety hazards and malfunctions. An emergency repair team has also been established to swiftly respond in case of emergencies, rapidly restoring power supply and ensuring residents stay warm during winter. Simultaneously, staff members were actively organized to reach out to communities and villages, conducting publicity activities on safe electricity usage.

The correct methods of using clean heating equipment and precautions for safe electrical usage were explained to residents, promotional materials were distributed and residents' safety awareness and self-protection skills were enhanced, fostering a positive atmosphere for safe electricity usage.
