At the ongoing COP29 United Nations climate change conference in Baku, Azerbaijan, a key objective is to establish a post-2025 climate finance commitment from developed nations to developing countries, building on the previous pledge of $100 billion per year. However, as the conference nears its conclusion, significant disagreements persist between developed and developing countries regarding the new financial targets. This has sparked outrage among some attendees from the Global South. On Wednesday, they held a rally at the COP29 venue, chanting, "What do we want? Climate Finance!" and "Trillions, not billions!"
