On Nov 18, State Grid Shaoxing Power Supply Company workers in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province, carried out the final safety checks on the electrical equipment at Zhejiang Zhenyuan Biotechnology.

"In the past, it took multiple trips to solve the power access issue. Now, we can directly proceed according to the plan, which is very convenient," said Fan Weiming, the electrical manager of Zhejiang Zhenyuan Biotechnology.

Early last year, Zhejiang Zhenyuan Biotechnology submitted the power supply a capacity requirement, which was as high as 20,000 kilovolt-amperes. State Grid Shaoxing Power Supply Company assisted in developing an access system plan. Considering the user's large capacity requirements and the characteristics of the biopharmaceutical industry, the power supply company set up a dual power supply method, with a dedicated line connection to ensure safety and reliability.

At the construction site of the technical industrial demonstration project of Zhejiang Zhenyuan Biotechnology in Hangzhou Bay Shangyu Economic and Technological Development Zone, workers began operating multiple excavators for the ground work. Towering construction cranes shuttled back and forth.

This demonstration project utilizes cutting-edge synthetic biology technology to construct genetically engineered bacteria with efficient expression at the DNA level. Using plant-derived glucose as a raw material, target products such as low-cost, high-quality L-amino acids, L-tyrosine, and levodopa are produced through processes such as biotechnology fermentation and aqueous-phase extraction purification. Not only is there high production safety, low cost and superior quality, but the production is green and low-carbon.

After the application for the Demonstration Project of Bio-Directed Synthetic Technology Industrialization, the company became one of the first batch of 47 projects listed in the Green Low-Carbon Advanced Technology Demonstration Project List issued by the National Development and Reform Commission this year. It is the only project in Shaoxing. This project will promote the upgrading and integration of Shaoxing's chemical industry, driving industrial quality improvement and efficiency enhancement.

To ensure the early landing and production of such green and low-carbon advanced technology demonstration projects, State Grid Shaoxing Power Supply Company promptly resolved temporary power supply issues for 18 relocating companies, accelerated cross-domain aggregation and enhancement projects and opened up a green service channel for them.

The Gaibei Power Supply Station of the company established a special team for temporary power supply services for relocating companies, connecting with corporate customers, assisting and guiding customers to apply for electricity online through the State Grid app. Leveraging advantages in the region, the company reduced the average power connection time to 26 working days, far exceeding the average of 60 working days.

In recent years, through joint efforts with local governmental departments, State Grid Shaoxing Power Supply Company has utilized its service advantages to streamline the electricity access process, shorten project electricity access time and ensure that enterprises can produce without worries about electricity supply.
