Xi says he and Trump attach great importance to interaction with each other

BEIJING -- Chinese President Xi Jinping said Friday that both he and US President-elect Donald Trump attach great importance to interaction with each other and hope China-US ties will have a good start in the new US presidential term.

Xi made the remarks during a phone conversation with Trump.
