Divine experience for Beijing audiences

As part of the cultural exchange program commemorating the 55th anniversary of China-Italy diplomatic relations, the Italian musical Divine Comedy — adapted from Italian writer Dante Alighieri's world-famous epic La Divina Commedia (The Divine Comedy) — launched its Beijing run at the Century Theatre on Thursday. The performances will run through to Sunday.

Written in the early 14th century, The Divine Comedy is regarded as one of the most pivotal works in Western literature.
