CPC releases revised regulations for Party schools

BEIJING -- The Communist Party of China Central Committee has issued a revised version of a set of regulations on the work of Party schools (academies of governance), an official statement said on Monday.
According to the statement, the revised regulations are expected to improve the training system and working mechanisms of these schools, giving full play to their role as a main channel for the education and training of Party members and officials.
The regulations are important to fostering a team of key governing officials who are capable of shouldering the task of national rejuvenation, it said.
The schools should enhance the capacity of Party members and officials to contribute to advancing Chinese modernization, according to the revised regulations.
These schools should also strengthen training for Party members and officials to enable them to perform their duties in an improved manner.
Such training should focus on the CPC Central Committee's major decisions and the needs of national strategies, aiming to enhance capabilities to pursue high-quality development, serve the people, and guard against and defuse risks.
The original version was released by the CPC Central Committee in 2019.
