Sin-Iron's 'Singapore+1' strategy boosts smart healthcare transformation in ASEAN

Sin-Iron Innovation Technology Pte Ltd, a flagship bilateral investment project under the China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park and a Singapore-based healthcare innovation enterprise, has reaffirmed its strong commitment to advancing smart healthcare solutions in Singapore and the wider ASEAN.
Facing the triple pressures of an aging population, rising prevalence of chronic diseases, and escalating operational costs, Sin-Iron is accelerating the introduction of advanced non-standardized automated equipment into Singapore.
These systems will form the backbone of intelligent manufacturing, smart healthcare, and smart city industrial clusters, providing innovative solutions designed for specialized environments, unique functions, and customized applications.
Zhao Jingwei, chairman of Sin-Iron Innovation Technology, said, "Through a Singapore-first branding strategy and by building intelligent production line design and implementation capabilities under the 'Singapore+1' industrial ecosystem, we are addressing the most pressing challenges in healthcare."
By enhancing medication safety, improving hospital efficiency, and supporting patient-centered care, these innovations will address pressing needs in the healthcare sector.
By 2030, one in four Singaporeans will be aged 65 and above, significantly increasing demand for long-term care, medication safety, and hospital automation. Meanwhile, rapid urbanization and rising healthcare expenditure across ASEAN are further driving the urgent need for resilient, technology-enabled healthcare systems.
To anchor this effort, Sin-Iron is establishing a Smart Healthcare Innovation Centre in Singapore, which will serve as a hub for research and development, clinical validation, talent cultivation, and technology deployment.
By leveraging internet of things technologies, the center will enable intelligent multi-scenario applications and function as Singapore's technology center and ASEAN's industry assembly hub, in addition to acting as a platform for collaboration among industry, academia, and government.
As part of its commitment to locally driven innovation, Sin-Iron has signed a Research Collaboration Agreement (RCA) with the A*STAR Institute of High Performance Computing (A*STAR IHPC) — a national research institute under the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore's lead public sector R&D agency — to co-develop AI-powered analytics that improve pharmacy operations and support hospital decision-making.
Leveraging A*STAR IHPC's capabilities in predictive modeling, foundation models, and large language models, the collaboration seeks to advance smart healthcare solutions.
"From pharmacy automation to predictive logistics and AI-driven patient care, our solutions are designed to serve Singapore healthcare system while fostering deep collaboration with local research institutes and technology partners," said Zhao, noting that "Together, we will not only benefit Singapore healthcare system but also contribute to the wider ASEAN region and the global healthcare ecosystem."
Sin-Iron develops and deploys smart hospital solutions, intelligent automation, and AI-enhanced platforms across pharmacy, logistics, and clinical operations.
