Speakers at think tank event?stress global cooperation
Pan Qingzhong, executive dean of the Schwarzman Scholars program at Tsinghua University, was one of the three panelists at the event. He said that the program, which began in 2013, has attracted over 1,200 students from 126 countries, with 80 percent coming from abroad.
Pan said the program aims to cultivate future leaders and foster mutual understanding among young people worldwide to enhance global cooperation and development.
Xu Jiajun, a tenured associate professor at Peking University, discussed her team's work on a global database of public banks. She emphasized the role of public banks in national capacity building and structural transformation, noting that China's experience demonstrates the importance of sustainable and fair structural transformation for poverty alleviation.
