ING to merge two insurance companies

ING Group NV plans to merge ING Capital Life Insurance Company Limited and Pacific-Antai Life Insurance Company Limited to build a more efficient organization, according the Beijing News.

It is reported that ING has already formed a project team to restructure management, establish its organization, and choose headquarters, but the Chinese shareholders and supervisors have not made comments on these developments.

Yang Lijun, chief representative of ING China, said the company already started its insurance human resource global training plan in 2005.
