China Everbright picks mainland to list bank unit

China Everbright, a Chinese financial services company, said on Thursday its unit China Everbright Bank will list on Chinese mainland.

Chief executive Chen Shuang announced the plan at a media briefing to discuss the company's year-end earnings on Thursday. Chen said China Everbright had filed an application with regulators last year but did not give additional details.

In the past, the company had indicated it would list in Hong Kong before going for a mainland listing.
