5.How will China move away from low-cost manufacturing to high-end manufacturing/innovation? What opportunities does the Belt and Road Initiative provide?
The transition to the "new normal" will require sustained productivity growth that demands the cultivation of indigenous innovative capacity. In recent years, the Chinese government has been continuously taking efforts on economic transition to a more balanced and innovation-driven growth model. Concepts of “Internet+” and “Made in China 2025” are then generated to push the transition.
As one of leading providers of Industry 4.0 systems and technologies, Bosch is dedicated to the continuous upgrading of Chinese industries. Meanwhile, it is expected that the Belt and Road Initiatives will drive domestic economic healthy growth, and also stimulate the growth of industrial manufacturing as well as recovery of construction machinery industry.
