CNPC completes new gas pipeline in north and East ChinaBy ()
Updated: 2007-06-26 16:11 China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC), the parent of PetroChina Co Ltd, said it has completed construction of a natural gas pipeline in northern and eastern China as part of its west-east pipeline network. The 1242-kilometer Jining pipeline will also link the group's existing pipelines with a liquefied natural gas terminal in eastern China and underground gas storage tanks, the largest oil and gas producer said. The pipeline, completed on June 21, will serve as a channel to better allocate natural gas in PetroChina's trunk pipelines and storage tanks, to ensure stable gas supplies in major cities such as Beijing and Shanghai, the company said.
