    This year has been especially promising for AMG, with 1,556 units sold from January to October for a year-on-year growth of 39 percent, mainly through 47 AMG Performance Centers across 33 cities.

    "The year 2014 will mark an even stronger focus on this exclusive sales network, expanding in number of outlets and emphasizing full customer dedication with AMG experts at the point of sale.

    "We will further leverage the AMG Driving Academy to provide Chinese customers with ultimate driving experience on China's racetracks."We are confident to write the next exciting chapter in the history of AMG in China," said Duan.

    With fans on the edge of their seats, the night reached its climax with the AMG Driving Awards, which honored those taking part in the 2013 AMG Driving Performance Challenge.

    Held two days prior to the ceremony, the 2013 AMG Driving Performance Challenge let contestants experience the world of AMG motorsports first hand.

    With Hakkinen offering on-site instruction, participants felt the speed and passion needed to achieve victory.

    "In 2013, the AMG Performance Tour brought passionate dynamics to 7,000 participants, covering 20 cities nationwide," said Freda Wang, head of marketing for BMBS.

    "In 2014, our brand ambassador Hakkinen will join us to personally showcase the uncompromising driving performance of AMG brand to our customers."

    "Furthermore, the opening of the official Mercedes-AMG Weibo account will bring the fervor from the racetrack to the information superhighway, while providing an entirely new way to experience our increasingly digital world.

    "We have also launched the AMG Private Lounge, an exclusive online community just for AMG customers, which will allow them to not only send AMG their feedback and better experience the brand's unique charm, but also to connect with other members who share their passion," said Wang.

    For more than four decades, Mercedes-AMG has worked to bring customers top-notch luxury, exclusive originality, extraordinary performance and dynamic design.

    With its unique brand philosophy of "One Man, One Engine", AMG has set the benchmark for handcrafted engines and looks forward to an even brighter future.

    "Our future success will heavily rely on how we serve our Chinese customers and we are excited to put an even larger focus on doing this more professionally and with higher dedication in the upcoming year through our AMG Performance Center network," said Markus Henne, head of AMG China.

    "Not only will we continue to expand our presence of these highly exclusive shop-in-shop brand stores to quality locations all across China, but we will also enhance the customer liaison and service experience dramatically."
