    Rolling out the memories
    (China Daily)

Hong Kong has witnessed a series of historic events over the past decade, such as the return to the motherland, the financial crisis, SARS, and the recovery of the economy. From June 18 to August 5, an exhibition named China Hong Kong - Our Ten Years, featuring 60 photos by photographers of Hong Kong's media, covers a range of events since the reunification.

Hosted by the Hong Kong Press Photographers Association (HKPPA), the exhibition captures scenes of Hong Kong's politics and ordinary people's lives.

Added to this collection will be award-winning works from Focus at the Frontline, an annual contest host by the HKPPA, which is judged by senior photo editors from major newspapers and magazines in Hong Kong.

Set up in 1990, the HKPPA now has more than 100 members, most of whom are photographers from Hong Kong's major mass media. The association strives to establish a moral standard for photographers and help them improve their public recognition.
