Relatives stunned to see strangers in mom's tomb

Updated: 2009-04-29 09:36 Children and other relatives of a dead woman were stunned to discover that they've been visiting the tomb of a stranger for more than 20 years. Some 30 members of the family were at Beijing's Babaoshan Cemetery on Saturday to move the woman's grave based on the cemetery's instructions. At first, they saw two caskets in the tomb, one of which was reserved for their father, who is still alive. But they later learned that their mother was not in any of the two caskets. They suspected the mishap occurred in 1989 when several tombs were moved. (Jinghua Times) |
