    Century bridge opens to traffic

    The biggest bridge in South China's Hainan Province opens to traffic in Haikou, capital of the province August 1. The bridge, costing US$80 million, has already become a symbol for Haikou. The auction price for land near the bridge has increased from 400 yuan (US$48) per square metre in December to 700 yuan (US$84). [newsphoto.com.cn]
