Many Beijingers change ways of Moon Festival greetings
    ( 2003-09-10 16:14) (Agencies)

A survey by Beijing Youth Daily shows 67.1 percent of Beijingers have changed their ways of Moon Festival greetings to their friends and clients by sending short messages, China Daily reports Wednesday.

They believe sending a short message is more convenient than delivering moon cakes, a traditional Chinese pastry dedicated especially to the festival.

Aug. 15 on the Chinese lunar calendar, or Sept. 11 this year, is a family reunion day, when Chinese family members would happily get together eating moon cakes in the bright moon light.

The festival has also become a day when people would pay best regards to friends, relatives and clients.
