FIFA donates $700,000 for Iraq soccer
    ( 2003-10-17 13:51) (Agencies)

Iraq's soccer federation is getting $700,000 from the sport's governing body, FIFA, to help rebuild the team.

"We have started from zero after the war, and we are very thankful to FIFA for their assistance," Iraqi federation president Hussein Saeed said.

Iraqi's soccer headquarters were destroyed during the recent fighting that toppled Saddam Hussein's regime.
