David Beckham strained his right hamstring and will miss a Spanish League game for the first time since joining Real Madrid.

Beckham originally was injured during practice this week and aggravated it during a 1-0 Champions League victory over Partizan Belgrade on Wednesday. He set up the goal with a corner kick.

Real Madrid team doctor Alfonso del Corral said Beckham will miss Saturday's home game against Racing de Santander and is doubtful for Tuesday's game at Zaragoza, the Spanish news agency Efe reported.

Real Madrid is in third place in the Spanish standings.
