    Palestinian PM calls for mutual truce with Israel

    Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmed Qurie called Wednesday for Israel and the Palestinians to end attacks on civilians and work together to reach a mutual cease-fire.

    "I extend my hand to you with sincerity in order to begin serious and prompt action for a mutual cease-fire to halt the bloodshed and stop violence," Qurie said in a speech to parliament, which was due to vote on his new cabinet.
