    Wage scale for new graduates

    The Shanghai Labor and Social Security Bureau revealed yesterday that 27 percent of fresh local university graduates earn as much as 1,500 (US$180.72) to 2,000 yuan on average each month.

    Some 12.09 percent new graduates are paid between 2,000 and 2,500 yuan. Only 1.1 percent students, with solid educational background and strong working ability, can earn more than 6,000 yuan per month. Graduates majoring in sales, administration and IT industry are most popular with local employers.
