China's Tianjin baseball team to train in Taiwan, Australia
    ( 2004-01-02 20:43) (Xinhua)

The Tianjin baseball team will leave Tianjin early next week for a two-months-long training trip of Chinese Taipei and Australia.

The 2002 national league champions beat an All-Stars side with players from Beijing, Guangdong and Shanghai, in the country's inaugural national league All-Stars Game last year.

But in the 2003 national league final, Tianjin lost to Beijing 4-3.

The Tianjin team will join in various local teams and play teaching games during the trip.
