    Pippen again placed on injured reserve by Bulls

    The Chicago Bulls have placed veteran Scottie Pippen on the injured reserve list with a sore left knee, the team said Thursday.

    It is the second time this season Pippen has been placed on the injured list with knee problems.

    Pippen rejoined the Bulls from the Portland Trail Blazers last year but has battled injury problems all season, appearing in only 23 of 52 games.

    The 38-year-old forward has had constant knee problems for the past two seasons. He missed 17 games last year, returning in the playoffs.

    Pippen is averaging 5.9 points and 2.2 assists this season for the Bulls after signing a US$10 million, two-year contract last July.
