England captain David Beckham believes he is finding his best form again after helping Real Madrid move eight points clear at the top of the Spanish Primera Liga.

Beckham laid on two of Madrid's goals in a 4-2 win over Celta Vigo at the Bernabeu as Ronaldo, Zinedine Zidane (two) and Luis Figo scored after the visitors went in front.

David Beckham told Sky Sports: "They had a few chances, but when we get the chances we can always score goals.

"I think I felt a bit more comfortable against Bayern Munich (in the Champions League) than in the last month and I felt the same again.

"As long as we keep winning that's the most important thing. I've had a couple of suspensions and I felt a lot better against Bayern and again today."

Real opened up their lead after second-placed Valencia suffered a surprise 2-1 defeat away to Espanyol as a Raul Tamudo brace earned the Catalan side victory.

Barcelona closed the gap on third-placed Deportivo La Coruna to four points with a 3-2 win at the Estadio Riazor. Barca raced into a 3-0 lead as Ronaldinho scored twice, but Uruguayan striker Walter Pandiani pulled two back for Depor and the Galicians should have equalised but Albert Luque somehow missed an open goal from two yards out for one of the misses of the season.
