    Int'l auto expo to open in Xiamen

    An international automobile exposition will be staged from April 28 to May 3 in Xiamen, a coastal city in East China's Fujian Province.

    Domestic and overseas auto giants, including China's First Automobile Works (FAW), Shanghai Volkswagen, Shanghai GM, Guangzhou Hongda, as well as Ford, Benz, BMW, Citroen and other world big names, will showcase their products and technologies in the exhibition.

    Big auto parts makers and purchasers from across the world have also confirmed their attendance at the exhibition, jointly sponsored by the China Automotive Industry Association, the Economic Development Bureau of Xiamen and the Office in Charge of Imports and Exports of Machinery and Electronic Products.

    A series of forums and seminars will also be staged. More than 20 officials and experts in the auto industry will give keynote speeches.
