    U.S. President George W. Bush delivers his remarks to the press 
during a joint press availability with Jordan's King Abdullah in the Rose Garden 
of the White House, May 6, 2004. President Bush apologized Thursday for the 
abuse and humiliation of Iraqi prisoners by U.S. soldiers, saying the scenes of 
mistreatment had made Americans "sick to our stomachs."
