    SAC to help make Boeing 787

    The Shenyang Aircraft (Group) Corporation (SAC), the China National Aero-Technology Import and Export Corp and the US Boeing held a ceremony on June 8 at the No.39 plant of the SAC to officially start the vertical fins and leading edges project for Boeing's "787 Dream Liner" aircrafts.

    A few days before this Boeing announced a wholesale outsourcing agreement with the China Aviation Industry Corporation I and Corporation II to make spare parts for Boeing aircrafts, with the total value at about 5 billion yuan. The agreement includes the SAC manufacturing parts for the Boeing 787s. This is the first time that a Chinese company participates in a new aircraft project from the very start.
