西方諺語(yǔ)中有這樣一句: A friend in need is a friend indeed. 這句話源于伊索寓言中的一個(gè)故事：說(shuō)有兩個(gè)朋友郊游的時(shí)候遇到一頭熊，其中一個(gè)人，急忙丟下朋友獨(dú)自爬上樹(shù)逃生。他的朋友急中生智，倒地裝死。誰(shuí)知那頭熊走近朋友的身邊，對(duì)他悄悄說(shuō)道：A friend in need is a friend indeed！你有困難，他不相助，自顧逃開(kāi)，這種朋友不要的好！
有位幽默作家將此語(yǔ)改為：A friend that aren't in need is a friend indeed（沒(méi)有困難的朋友是真正的朋友？）比如說(shuō)酒肉朋友可能是沒(méi)有困難的朋友，只不過(guò)一起作樂(lè)，算不得好朋友。不過(guò)，有時(shí)朋友有困難的時(shí)候你想相助，卻力不從心，只能陪著憂慮。因此總希望朋友還是沒(méi)有困難的好。
