美國能源部官員4月2日對外表示，美國近期恢復(fù)核試驗(yàn)沒有太大必要，軍方對研制迷你形"掩體摧毀炸彈"很感興趣。 法新社有這樣的新聞標(biāo)題: "US doesn't need nuclear tests but needs bunker-busting mini-bombs." 這種新型的武器英文是bunker-busting mini-bomb， bunker在軍事上是"掩體、掩蔽壕"的意思，bust則有很多意思，在這里取其"挫敗、阻撓"的意思，buster則是指"阻撓……的人"，例如a crimebuster就是"執(zhí)法人員、刑事警探"的意思。
