KUNMING - Fourteen people died and one was seriously injured when a truck rolled down a 100-meter-deep valley Tuesday in southwest China's Yunnan Province, a spokesman with Yunnan provincial government said.
The accident happened at around 2 p.m. in Lijiang City's Huaping County, the spokesman said.
The driver, Sha Xueying, and seven passengers survived by jumping off the truck before it rolled down the valley, the spokesman said. Sha was later found having no driver's license.
The truck was heading to Huaping County from its neighboring Ninglang Yi Autonomous County.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
