held the lead going into the final of the 10-metre platform diving event
Wednesday at the world aquatic championships.
Heymans was second to American Laura Ann Wilkinson after the
preliminary and semifinal rounds, but only points scored in the semifinals
are carried into the final. In the semis, Heymans led with 195.90 points
after four strong dives. Tong Jia of China was second with 191.85 and
Wilkinson was third with 188.97.
