如果仔細(xì)閱讀報(bào)道中的兩段文字，即使不熟知“stand-in”，您也會(huì)在隨即出現(xiàn)的“substitute”中猜出它的大致意思“替身，代替”。Stand-in（替身）源于動(dòng)詞詞組“stand in for”（暫時(shí)代替某人），例如：I'm standing in for the regular man while he's on holiday.（那位正式職員休假了，由我暫時(shí)頂替他的職位。）

在這里，順便提一下我們之前講過的stuntman（特技表演者），stuntman也可做“替身”，不過更強(qiáng)調(diào)“身懷絕技、有某種特異功能”的替身演員。
