Torino 2006 Mascot 'Aster' - a snowflake
Aster, the Torino 2006 Paralympic Winter Games macot, was created with
the aim of symbolizing the Paralympic Winter Games of Torino 2006: it represents
the spirit of this initiative, extolling the athletic results of participants
rather than focusing on their disabilities. Aster takes on the shape, colour,
structure and nimbleness of a snowflake. Happy, agile and dynamic, thanks to its
particular form, it is capable of assuming all positions specified by the
Paralympic disciplines, thus being representative of all athletes in an
entertaining, positive and natural fashion. A close friend of Neve and Gliz (the
Olympic Winter Games mascots), Aster belongs to the same magical world of snow
and
ice.
2006年都靈冬季殘奧會吉祥物阿斯特（Aster），它有像雪花一樣輕盈的體態(tài)，還有雪花般的顏色和結構，表現(xiàn)出殘奧會的精神，使參與者的運動成就得到升華并超越其自身殘疾。輕靈、動感的外形使它能夠表現(xiàn)殘奧會所比賽項目中的各種動作。
