    Abstract

    Natural gas, shale gas, coalbed methane and combustible ice can effectively deal with current energy safety, environmental protection and emission stress issues. Clean gas energy fosters a new economic growth point, so the development of natural gas shall be one of the key sustainable strategies in China. Considering the causes above, China will pay attention to the use of clean gas energy in China’s energy strategy, utilizing various measures including speeding up energy marketization reform; establishing and improving the marketing access and mining management system; loosening the restrictions on clean energy industry access; reforming energy pricing mechanisms; and enhancing supervision on natural gas management and technology support on shale gas, as well as combustible ice and carbon capture and storage technology. These efforts will transform China's energy supply and consumption structure, as well as maintain sustainable development and ecological construction.
