    Representatives from three universities in China, Russia, and Mongolia assembled for an "arts Naadam" in Inner Mongolia Normal University on May 7.

    Naadam is a traditional Mongolian festival. The arts Naadam was jointly organized by Inner Mongolia Normal University, Mongolian State University of Education and Russia's Buryat State University.

    This multinational festivity featured colorful performances with the three countries distinctive characteristics.

    Cultural exchange is a road to prosperous development. A nation's cultural achievements belong to the whole world, said Shiilegmaa Ya, the leader of Mongolian State University of Education representatives.

    She added that the arts Naadam was a platform for arts exchange and a way to learn from each other, and also an opportunity to showcase each country's culture, arts, and traditions.

    The leader of Buryat State University representatives echoed with Shiilegmaa's opinions. She said that the arts event will expand the three universities' communication.

    The construction of the China-Russia-Mongolia Economic Corridor is an important part of the Road and Belt Initiative, which brings more opportunities for the three countries. The diversified exchanges and cooperation among the three countries' universities help to cultivate a cultural environment for the economic corridor, said Yun Guohong, president of Inner Mongolia Normal University.

    The arts Naadam was also a celebration of the 60th anniversary of Inner Mongolia Normal University's arts discipline, according to Yun.
