Dandong attracts talents with preferential policies

Dandong has established multiple preferential policies, earmarked funds and offered better treatment to attract and keep talents, the municipal talent affairs division said June 10.

The preferential policies comprise the following aspects:

First, Dandong will extend annual government subsidies to introduced high-end talents. Academicians from Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), who work more than three months in Dandong a year, will annually receive 50,000 yuan allowances. They will receive 100,000 yuan allowances if they stay in Dandong for over six months a year. Young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions, personnel receiving State Council special allowances, and academic and technological pacemakers of national key disciplines, key labs and engineering technology research centers will annually receive 30,000 yuan subsidies if they work in Dandong for over three months, and 50,000 yuan subsidies if they work in Dandong for over six months.

Second, Dondong will extend 500,000 to one million yuan funds, 100-square-meter apartments, and no smaller than 100-square-meter offices, free of rent for three years to high-end talents to start up businesses in the city with their own technologies, projects and funds.

Third, Dandong will annually introduce 100 excellent graduates from key universities under the 211 Project and 985 Project, sign them to five-year employment contracts, and grant them 50,000 yuan housing subsidies.

Fourth, Dandong will supply each CAS and CAE academician establishing a work station in the city with 100,000 yuan to start up operations. It will also supply 100-square-meter housing and 300-square-meter labs, free of rents for three years for each academician who works in Dandong regularly.

Fifth, Dandong will supply 1:0.5 ratio capital support to high-end talents listed in the national 1,000-Person Project and provincial 10, 100, and 1,000 High-End Talent Project, who have received national or provincial capital supports. The city will grant 1:1 ratio capital support to introduced overseas R&D teams.

Sixth, Dandong will implement the housing guarantee policy for introduced talents and plan as a whole to solve their housing demands through multiform measures such as offering public leasing houses or house purchase subsidies.
