A 41-year-old woman, Zhao Jingxia, raised 3 million yuan to build a nursing home for her paralytic father in Changzhou city, east China's Jiangsu province. Zhao has employed 50 caregivers in the past five years to take care of her father. Zhao said that the majority of nursing homes rejected her father because he can't take care of himself.

"What pushes me to open a nursing home is not money but filial piety. I hope the old, like my father, can have a place to enjoy in their old age," Zhao said.
