Swiss luxury watch brand Vacheron Constantin launched the Chinese mainland debut of its public exhibition celebrating its 270th birthday in Shanghai on Monday.
China has always been an important market and a growth engine for the Swiss watch industry, which contributes about 4 percent of Switzerland's GDP, said Sacha Bachmann, consul general of Switzerland in Shanghai during Friday's unveiling ceremony.
According to Bachmann, as this year marks the 75th anniversary of China-Switzerland establishing diplomatic relations, the frequent exchange of high-level visits between the two countries has fully demonstrated the depth and breadth of bilateral relations.
